State Route 140 is famously dubbed 'The Winnemucca to the Sea Highway'. Quite ironic. The concept of a 'sea' is nowhere to be found on this desolate highway. SR 140 is typical of a Great Basin highway, a single ribbon of pavement through millions of acres of barren landscape.

Print Information
