With a population of just 20 residents today, Cherry Creek is a mere shadow of what it was in the late 1870's, when it's peak population rose to over 6,000. The mines played out a few years later, sadly ending most of Cherry Creek's glory days. Today, the only live establishment in town is the old bar and saloon on Main Street.
