Ghost Towns
Like many Nevada mining camps, with the discovery of gold, the rush was on! Starting in 1905 to a period of two weeks in January of 1906, about 4,000 people moved here. As a result, Manhattan's claim to fame, the stately church that overlooks the town was built, and today, is one of the best preserved in the state.
