In 1861, a young Samuel Clemens, later to be known as Mark Twain, tried his hand at mining. Of all places, he chose Unionville for his 'craft' and built this cabin, before moving on after only 3 months to Virginia City claiming quote, "Minin' aint for my taste. I've decided that's the craft of a fools' man!"
