Of all the species of wildflower that bloom in Nevada's deserts, fewer are prettier than the prolific Balsam Root. The Balsam is a common flower that grows just about anywhere during the months of April-June. In afternoon light, it rarely fails to please any camera with a welcoming golden delight.
