The Spiny Hopsage is an unappreciated plant. Most of Nevada's wildflowers are smaller and bloom a more vigrant color, like purple, blue or yellow. Hopsage is one of the few flowers in the Great Basin that blooms pink. Growing alongside steep mountainsides, it's hard to miss this giant bloom and its subtle displays of spring magic.
