On a mid-May hike to the top of Sun Mountain, the Storey County highpoint, I was delighted to come across a prolific bloom of not only red paintbrush, but various subspecies of yellow. Although the grand view at the top of the mountain was definitely worth a mention, I found this display much more pleasing to my eyes.

Print Information
